Thirsty Thursday: Negroni

Italians believe you need to drink three of these before you begin to enjoy them (not in one night though):

Ingredients
1 oz GinNegroni
1 oz Vermouth
1 oz Campari
1 orange

Preparation
Pour the gin, sweet vermouth and Campari into your favourite rocks glass over ice. Stir it down to your preferred taste. Then, zest the orange with true Italian flair over the glass and add the citrus to the potion. Forget minutes – you can make this in seconds…

Thirsty Thursday: Western Whisky Gold Rush Cocktail

INGREDIENTS

2 ounces Western Honey Pepper Bourbon Style Whisky
3/4 ounce fresh lemon juice
3/4 ounce honey

PREPARATION

    1. Combine bourbon, lemon juice, and honey in a cocktail shaker. Fill shaker with ice, cover, and shake very vigorously to help dissolve honey until outside of shaker is very cold, about 20 seconds.
    2. Strain cocktail through a Hawthorne strainer or a slotted spoon into an old-fashioned or rocks glass with 1 large ice cube or several smaller ones.
